Mr. & Mrs. Denis,

Thank you so much. Our stay here was the most wonderful and memorable one. Though we came to know about your resort at the last minute, this was the most grand experience of our holiday. The Living Root Bridge was an experience and the trek to it more so. My daughters were feeling bad as we are unable to go to the next trekking trip to double living root bridge. We will surely make another trip with more friends.

A really heavenly experience this resort, the ambience, the staff and the locals.

Thank You Once Again.

It was a nice and memorable experience, as we, (me, my dear husband and 10 month old baby) stayed in the tent on 31st December 2006. We enjoyed staying there, it was nice and warm and one of my wishes had come true. The food was good and the management was really nice, it felt like staying at our own home. I would like to suggest that other tourists to stay at least one night in the tent and experience the difference….

Dear Mr.Denis,

I am really surprised and thrilled to have visited Cherra Resort on vacation as it was totally unexpected the kind of services provided in such a remote place. Room is quite spacious & clean as well. Hospitality of staff was excellent. Will certainly advise our friends to visit this place.

God Bless You.

I am really surprised to see the way you are changing this remote area to a vibrating tourist spot. I am really amazed to see the arrangements you made & selecting the site. One day stay is enough but I feel this staying almost a day has imprinted an impression in my mind.

I am sure my friend circle also will flock over here & will enjoy a day or two with you.

I wish very good days to you & an unending expansion of this resort with new & new ideas to change the economy of this area as a whole. My well wishes & regards.

Dear Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort,

You know why I wrote Dear “ ”….because it is personified.

I do not know the beauty of monsoon for which I wish to come back, but apart from the natural surroundings, the warmth of the resort is what is appealing.

….. and the Root Bridge…sometime I felt, I will not be able to make it, but wow! When we reached the spot, it is breathtaking.

We wish the Resort, its neighbours, villagers all the best so that we urbans can come back to unadulterated nature time & again.

All the best.

Bah Denis,

Just a one night stay has opened up my eyes to the homely treatment & services of your staff. The ambience, atmosphere, especially your smiling face really add up to the surroundings here. Keep it up & will be back & you can count on that.

Merry Christmas & a very bright & prosperous New Year. May the Lord shower his bountiful blessings on you and your endeavours.

We certainly had a great time, so much so that we decided to stay an extra day. The location of this resort couldn’t have been better – one automatically gets a sense of peace & tranquility. The staff is wonderful & you get a sense of homeliness. It’s a wonderful place. I will certainly be recommending it to others & I will myself be returning at some point in future.

After the initial apprehensions – fear & all these kind of feelings that we encountered while on our way to Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort – it was such a pleasant feeling when we finally reached the doorstep. Ah! Finally we are there! And we felt at home at once. It’s cosy – and so homely.

Hats off to Mr. & Mrs. Denis – who have taken the remarkable initiative to expose this small hilly place to the world and provide employment to the local folks in their ways.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The food was just excellent & yummy! The cup of coffee that welcomed us said it all about the perfection and effort put for everything here.

We are going to come here and spend a longer time with Mr. & Mrs. Denis.

Thanks for giving us such an wonderful & relishing experience. Now we know what holidaying means!!

Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort is really a wonderful place to have a rest, to enjoy the wild mountains of the Khasi Hills, to meet this people who are living in these deep forests and to learn many things on their culture. I have spent here a nice time with Mr.Denis and Mrs., a couple that we can never forget. If everybody was same as them, it means with a so nice soul and way of thinking, the world will be better.

With all my love for both of you Denis and your wife. I will come back.

We left Kolkata with doubts & fears about our destination. On reaching the resort, we were overwhelmed with an ecstacy of discovery. And now! We are leaving with a few parting tears. God willing, we’ll return over and over again. Since ages, till we came here, we haven’t seen innocent smiles on human faces. The landscape, the innocence and hospitality of the local people, and above all, Mr. Denis, his wife and the resort staff will live in our memory as ‘bliss of solitude’.

Khublei shibun.
