Staying at Cherrapunjee is like romancing with nature far away from the maddening crowd. Nature, flora, birds and the bees are vibrant in their natural habitat. The stay is comfortable, congenial with all courtesies bringing about truly a match between worldly comforts in the heart of the jungle and pristine nature at its best.

Dear Mr.Rayen,
It was a wonderful to be back here again after almost 5 years. Nothing much has changed here – you are still the wonderful people we remember you to be and the surrounding hills are still as beautiful. But we’re glad to see the efforts pay off and to see the Resort flourishing. Congratulations for the Excellent Job done to you and your team. We wish you the very best for the years to come – be assured we shall be back soon – we can never have enough of your pleasant hospitality. Thanks for having us.

Found quite a different world here.
People in other places of India don’t know much about this exotic place.
The Village Laitkynsew and the other villages in the area are having a very good Tourism potentiality.
Living Root Bridges are sure one of the greatest wonders in the world.
Wish this abode of clouds a great prosperity and all round development.
Many, many thanks and congrats to Mr.Denis for his remarkable job in his life.
Wish him the best of prosperity and luck.

Barbara and I have had a memorable time here. We will not forget it. The combination of strenuous hiking and restful reading on the terrace, while having a cup of black coffee, meet my needs completely.
Best Wishes to both of you and your kind staff.

We are sad to leave here after two wonderful two weeks. Already I am day dreaming a trip when we can bring our children and grand daughter to celebrate our 40 years of marriage. We are leaving in a state of good health because of the wonderful trekking opportunities. I also liked making a bird puppet and going to the schools to interact with children about how birds are our friends.

I just wanted to write and say thank you so much for making my stay at your guesthouse so enjoyable. You and your wife were fantastic hosts and I really appreciate everything you did for me to make my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely be recommending you to everyone in Bangladesh!
Many thanks,

All the stresses and strains of backpacking in India and Bangladesh, melt away on arriving and exploring this beautiful area. The Scot Trail is worthwhile if the steep walks get too much. Also the new tarmac road is a great walk to view the ‘rock garden’ and Bangladesh. If you want lots of cheese in your sandwich, ask for “English Sandwich”. The salads are great whether fruit with curd, or vegetable salad. The root bridges are a must, a guide is recommended but not absolutely necessary. I will return, the beginning of April in some years to come. When the rains come first is probably the best time as the steep step walks are not slippery. Last, but not least, a special big thank you to Carmela and Denis – also the staff – for the most enjoyable part of my 3 month travels.
Love and best wishes.
