Dear Mr. Denis,
Your hospitality and establishment have far exceeded all our expectations. You have been so accommodating and your staff very attentive and friendly. The walks to the bridges and rock pools were a highlight of our holiday in Meghalaya. If only we had more time we would have loved to have stayed longer. We will most certainly be recommending your resort to everyone.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thank you for your warm hospitality & gracious hosting. I feel like I came “home”. The walk to the root bridges was truly worth the 3000 steps. All the best in your endeavours. You live in paradise & I’m glad you wish to share it with the outside world.

Cherrapunjee Resort is probably one of the most silent places all over India, quiet, clean and very friendly hosts. This time I spent only one night here, probably I return in the future and spend some more time. Thank You.

We had a wonderful time, food and accommodation including.
Special thanks for taking us over to the natural wonder!
The staff attending on us were very polite and courteous always with a warm smile. In short we felt very much at home.
For all those who read this, must understand the labour put in by Paduh and Meiduh to make you want to come here again and again.

Denis and Carmela, Cheers, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
You had a dream and you followed it with single-minded devotion. It involved sacrifice (giving up a secure job in a Bank), determination and of course, God’s grace to get your resort up and running. It is truly wonderful to be part of your dream by spending Christmas 2004 with my whole family ( I kept my April 2001 promise of coming with wife Anju) and with the Chacko family at your Resort having chicken Briyani ( a family custom) with the two of you.
Worshipping at the local churches at Laitkynsew and Tyrna were a highlight. Pritika and Isha – the two ten year old girls – making the trek to the Living Root Bridge on their own is something they will never forget all their lives.
Sitting outside round a bonfire on two full moon nights listening to the talented singers from nearby areas singing Christmas carols made our stay a fulsome one.
The two of you along with all your staff members bowled us over – with your warmth and hospitality!!

Dear Mr. Denis,
Frankly when we decided to come here we did not perceive what we were IN for.
To put in the simplest of words – it is time to leave and frankly I do not feel like! The stay has been memorable in every way – from grandchild to his mother, mama & grandmother. Thank you ALL (special thanks to guide Riches).
You will see us back again – soon. And the Indian Air Force is going to put you on its ‘Holiday Map’.
God Bless you all & Cherrapunjee Holiday Home.
Khublei.

A beautiful blend of comfort and respect for the environment. And the root bridge was worth every drop of sweat. Wish we had more time here. We will be back.

We came from Sylhet. On a clear day, from my busy office in one of the tallest buildings in town, I can see the misty hills of Meghalaya across the flood plain. I came from Scotland, also a land of hills and beauty and I have been so looking forward to visiting Cherrapunjee. We heard about the Resort from VSO and Peace Corps workers.
We appreciate that Denis and Carmela have a dream of a better world and have worked hard to fulfill their vision. Cherra Resort is a wonderful place. We have traveled to many countries, seen many places and walked many paths: Cherra is amongst the best. The accommodation, the homely environment, the scenery, the people make it so. What more can be said?
All is the Creator of all this beauty and may his blessings rest on those who are the custodians of our natural environment.
Khublei!
