Thanks for all the hospitality and care. We enjoyed our stay and the short trek to the living bridge. We will come again to spend more days here and bring more friends to enjoy this picturesque part of India.

You were quite right to insist that I see the Living Root Bridge – wonderful just to be in the jungle, and to experience this. Wonderful food, a very comfortable accommodation – I like the idea of the central room to meet others in. Best wishes for your endeavours.

Having seen William’s photos of Cherrapunjee, I had high expectations…yet the experience of being here has exceeded all that I had imagined. A heartfelt thank you to Denis, his wife, the staff of CHR and the people of Khasi community. From our walks through the clouds, to swimming in rock pools, to enjoying a sandpiper by the fire – an amazing experience, I’ll cherish forever. Thank You and Happy Easter!

A special place in a unique part of India and the World. In 2 days we experienced all weather including radiant sunshine and living in the clouds. The hospitality of Denis, his wife and the wonderful staff was exceptional – whatever we asked for was provided without question and we even were able to use special facilities. Service, food, helpful assistance with walks and local sights was outstanding. We will long remember the unique resort in the clouds and hope to come here again.

Thank you very much for a very pleasant stay here. Unfortunately it was only for one night. But I shall long remember the ‘everyday’ thunderstorm that we had. This made for a nice break in our hectic research schedule. Thanks again.

We have heard about this resort from a friend who came here earlier. But we couldn’t realize this would be such a nice and beautiful place before coming here because words cannot describe the beauty of the place. Not only for its natural beauty but also the warmth of the staff, especially of Mr. & Mrs. Denis and their crew of hotel staff, their vigilant eye for our comfort, quality of food and other services are high enough to call it a home – not only a resort. We wish to come here again and again.

Exhilarating stay. Inspiring to see Denis living his dream. Great idea to get the community involved. The warmth & efficiency of the resort staff is exceptional. What a spectacular view! The cicada (rain beetle) song was the icing on the cake. We’ll be back.

Cherra Resort has been a fantastic chilled out place to stay. The location is totally stunning & the living root bridges an amazing feat of man’s use of ingenuity to work with nature. Denis & his wife & their staff have made the resort extremely welcoming. A welcome treat from camp in Shnongrim Ridge! Hot showers & clean rooms, delicious food, couldn’t have asked for more. I look forward to coming back next year. Thanks for everything

Dear Kong Mary and Bah Denis, Our stay here at the Resort has made our anniversary a memorable one. It is a home far away from home. The readings on the way to the resort made it even challenging. The facilities here are excellent. The kongs are smart and cordial – a special note when they do not come from a hotel management house. The food too is excellent and what more to say when we ought to thank you for our wonderful stay here at Laitkynsew. If we can be of help do contact us. We don't see any shortcomings but our hearts and prayers with you and your family always.
