This was an eye opener for both of us! We will come back at a convenient time once again for such other amazing places such as Cherrapunjee, the Double Decker Root Bridge etc., etc…..and this Resort, of course. We really enjoyed the food, the evening bonfires, sunsets & sunrises. Thank you for everything.

We really enjoyed staying here. Denis & Carmela could not have been more welcoming, helpful or generous with their time and effort to make sure we were happy. The place is so well situated, peaceful and scenic. The walks were challenging down to the living bridges, but great experiences and we loved the big blue swimming pool. The staff is polite and efficient. The food was very good indeed. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed here. For us, the background music on the CD player did not seem to fit the atmosphere of the place, and was quite repetitive. I would have liked something softer, more Indian, or just the quiet of the countryside. We will be definitely recommending the Cherra Resort when we get back to England. Thank you so much for looking after us so well, with many good wishes for your future success.

Enjoyed a different kind of holiday – managed to rediscover ourselves along with our tryst with nature. Thank you for rejuvenating our lives and relaxing our stress weary souls.

Initially, we planned for a single day stay in the resort. But, just after reaching here and witnessing exotic location & surroundings we took no time in extending the period of stay in Cherra Resort. Incidentally, it was sheer chance we met one family here who had also come from our neighbourhood area in Guwahati. Kids were of the same school in Guwahati and they were able to mix up with each other comfortably. It is a place not only for staying amidst natural surroundings but a platform to meet different natives and residents who try to leave crowded cities and busy lifestyle. The place is very calm and beautiful so as to infuse fresh energy and creativity for the coming days and months. Such type of breaks in this kind of place is much needed so that we are always in touch with our mother nature even when we again become busy in our urban lifestyle.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. We trekked all day yesterday and now I am pleasantly sore, which I think will help the 36 hour train ride back to Lucknow. Everyone here is wonderful.

We had great experience of holidaying in your hill resort, the trek to the living root bridge, the spring bath and walking around the villages, all will linger in our memory forever. It has been a home and heaven of playing for our 3-year-old son. We will never forget the hospitality and warmth showered by you & your staff. This is our 2nd visit to this place and want to come again and again. May God give you strength to meet the challenges and may your dreams be fulfilled. With warm regards & best wishes.

Words are few to describe such an exotic and romantic experience of staying at CHR. ‘Holidaying in the silent lap of nature’ finds its truest expression here.

It was difficult to imagine that a quality hotel / resort exists in Cherrapunjee. I had visited Cherrapunjee before but Sohra bazaar did not have a place to stay overnight and as a result Cherrapunjee was always a day trip from Shillong. Cherrapunjee has, to my opinion, more places to see than Shillong. Si, I found this hotel / resort at a place which deserves a decent hotel / resort. Cherra Resort has rooms very clean; service is excellent. Especially the personal care taken was beautiful. This deserves a 2nd visit to explore more at Cherrapunjee.

Words fail to describe the experience. From the greenery, to the warm hospitality, to the breathtaking views, to rare fossils, what you have here is an invaluable heritage. I’m floored, happy and addicted. Hic!!!

Dear Denis, What a wonderful place! We have enjoyed the peace, the cool climate and the warm, friendly welcome. These few days have made a refreshing escape from the noise and bustle of Dhaka. But what happened to all the rain? ! The food and service have been excellent and we have enjoyed all the activities you recommended even if our muscles did not. We hope that this resort will continue to provide ‘an escape to nature’ for the frazzled city-dwellers of India, Bangladesh and further afield.
