We have had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort…all credit goes to Bah Denis and his well trained staff. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
The Rooms are spacious and well furnished, the food is good as well!!
It would be even better if we could get brochures informing us of probable places that could be visited around the resort itself…details of the exact distances, nature of trek, time taken for each of them. It would be lovely if we could get postcards within the resort itself. This way we could easily share our wonderful holiday experience with our friends around the world.
We look forward to coming again…….VERY SOON.

This is a wonderful place to stay, far away from the noise and pollution of traffic, the pushing and shoving, the tension and nerve jangling strain of urban life. The staff are delightful, always ready to feed and water guests. Denis is ever anxious to impart real knowledge. The sunsets are spectacular, the rains dramatic and the rain clouds fascinating to watch.

Service is not service here. It’s the warm care of the comfort you get at home. That extra effort which evokes nothing less than LOVE for everyone who has made this Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort a pleasant possibility. A memory to cherish for ever. A HOME AND HOMAGE.

A city-dweller like me couldn’t have asked for a more perfect escape than this. Excellent location, most friendly staff and simple Khasi songs are the memories I’ll cherish until next time.

Cherrapunjee is a place we will remember long. The adventurous journey (trekking) towards and back from the Living Root Bridge is an event we will never forget. The stay in Cherrapunjee is made comfortable by the people in CHERRA RESORT. We are grateful to them. This is the beauty of their mind that creates a beautiful environment to stay here.

Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Meals were all good and service was fantastic – all staff were very friendly, happy and helfpful.
Wonderful to experience all the rain, but we would love to come again in the dry season when we can get out there.
Thank You.

What can I say about Cherra Resort? All that I wanted to say has already been penned down by the earlier visitors in a more eloquent manner than I could have. Hence I will dwell on my emotional feelings. I have been searching for a place to settle down and was unable to decide on any of the well known destinations / cities / towns. Finally on arriving in the State of Meghalaya (the abode of clouds) by road from Assam, I immediately had a feeling that I have found the place where I would like to put down my roots. As we progressed further into the State towards Shillong and then to Cherrapunjee and finally to Cherra Resort, there was no further doubt that this was the place for me. I hope this wish of mine will be fulfilled someday.
About Cherra Resort: They have fulfilled 100% all the claims they have made on the signboards put up on the road while approaching the location. The point I appreciate the most is the term “INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT”. If our Civil Servants, MNCs and other Large Corporations had followed this concept, India would have been a better place.
I found the architecture of the building also to be in line with “INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT”, ie. the building is not obtrusive as other resorts are always are (Large Eye Sore Buildings), and has been well designed. Hats off for the same. Many of the earlier visitors had requested to have alternate power. I would strongly advice “NOT TO PUT UP A DIESEL GENERATOR”, as it will result in noise and air pollution. Instead I would request the visitors to bear with the power crisis. After all we are all coming here to get away from the maddening Urban Crowd & lifestyle. Please enjoy the opportunity to enjoy life without the power.
My deepest thanks to all the staff of Cherra Resort for not making us feel away from HOME. Their prompt and cheerful service shall be remembered for ever. Please convey the same to the staff members. My special thanks also goes to our guide Rebuild for making our trek to the Living Root Bridge memorable with his silent but efficient guidance. MAY GOD BLESS THIS RESORT.

It is our first trip to such a beautiful and remote place. Experiencing torrential rains itself in world’s most wettest place was an experience to remember. Also it was a memorable experience going downhill to the Living Root Bridge with such an experienced guide. Lastly, but not the least the resort itself is a very good place to stay in with quick service. The staff are also worth praising. We would like to come back here again with our whole family.
